Our pet stain removal services involve using specialized cleaning solutions that break down the proteins and enzymes in pet stains, effectively eliminating the odor and discoloration.
We will track down all spots on the rugs or carpet using a black light to ensure we have all odor causing spots accounted for.

Pet Stain Removal
The first step in the basic pet treatment process is to apply a blend of oxidizers, enzymes and odor encapsulants that will eliminate the odor of urine, feces and even wet animals.
This application will also eliminate the staining caused by urine or feces.
These active ingredients will continue to work until the area is extracted. Our truck mounted equipment will extract as much color staining and odor causing bacteria from the carpet fibers as possible.
A post treatment will be applied as necessary to control the odor and prevent stains from wicking.
The advanced pet stain removal process will include flooding the area affected by urine. This is best for smaller areas that is used when your cat or dog has an accident.
Flooding a single area will make sure the padding below the carpet is getting the strongest pet odor treatment possible.
Extracting the flooded pre treatment in this process requires a different tool, generally a water claw.
This tool is designed to pull below the carpet and all the way through the padding to ensure the pet waste gets extracted.
This generally involves multiple flushes to extract as much as possible.
Pet Stain Protection
You never know when the next accident will be, and it is always best to be prepared. Having our technicians apply carpet protection will not only save your carpet from being professionally cleaned more frequently, but this can also help prevent pet stains and odors.
Carpet protectant has the ability to hold spills or accidents due to its invisible shield that forms around each fiber.
This is going to be your best bet resisting soils and stains. Ask us today what the best steps are to get your carpet protected!

Frequently Asked Questions
Some stains may “wick”. This is fairly uncommon but is treatable. This is when the spill or soiling has made it to through the carpet fibers into the base, and likely the padding.
When the carpet dries the moisture is pulled back from the base of the carpet. This is because the carpet dries from the top, down drawing the moisture from the backing.
Uric acid from dogs, and especially cats can be difficult to remove. Baking soda, vinegar and other home remedies can neutralize the odor temporarily.
Humidity can recrystallize the previous spot causing the odor and staining to eventually reappear. It is important to apply an enzyme solution and allow to dry.
The uric acid will then turn into a gas, then evaporating.
The best order of operations would be to blot, not wipe, the affected area. Absorb as much as possible. Wiping will cause the accident to spread.
Extract if possible, using a shop vac or a spot cleaning vacuum. Apply an enzyme cleaner and allow to dry. If the stain or odor is too much, it may be time to call Epic Carpet Care.
