There are solutions to help rid the stains and control the odors.
With many people keeping their mattresses for between 7-10 years on average, you want to ensure it remains clean, odorless and lasts.
Mattresses are expensive to replace and relatively affordable to clean, whether you want to try the DIY approach or hire a team of professional cleaners like ourselves.
We are here to help guide you through what you need to do to hold you over until your next cleaning.
How to Remove Urine Stains from Mattresses
Begin my mixing 8 ounces of hydrogen peroxide, 3 tablespoons of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of dish soap.
Mix slowly to avoid foam buildup and spray the soiled area thoroughly, and allow to dry, the stain should begin to resolve itself.
To disinfect, you will want to mix vinegar and water 1:1 equal parts.
Once this is just about dry, you should be able to smell any remaining odor, a light layer of baking soda directly onto the mattress should naturally remove any remaining odor.
Once this has sat for 15 to 20 minutes, vacuum the remaining baking soda away from the surface.
